The Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia On Monday, officially began construction on 16 roads totaling 15 point 39 kilometers within the Makurdi metropolis.
The governor estimates that the roads will cost N6 billion and take 11 months to complete.
According to Alia, “the monumental construction of 16 roads in the Makurdi metropolis measuring 15.39km marks a significant milestone in our commitment to revolutionize the infrastructure of Benue State as we get ready to build the new Benue within our first 100 days in office.
The Nigerian Navy Barracks Road, Keghem Malu Street, Orkuma Akunda Street, Lush Street, and Augustinian Community roads, all located in the New GRA section of Makurdi, as well as the Nigerian Navy Barracks Road, Nigerian Navy Barracks Road with Spur to Akuma Abanyam and Othaniel Taanghar Street, were among the roads the governor listed as being ready for construction. ”.
