The Anambra Police Command has denied shooting members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), at Central School Ekwulobia.
Gistlover.com, reported that combined team of Nigerian military on Wednesday opened fire on peaceful IPOB members at an event to host its Leader at Ekwulobia.
The Police in a statement issued by its public relation officer, Nkiru Nwode, which reads; A said that complaint was received by the police that there is a gathering and blockage of road by some people at central school, Ekwulobia in Aguata LGA.
The Police with other security agencies on joint patrol went to the scene, dispersed and cleared the road peacefully without any clash.
However, normalcy has been restored and people are going about their businesses without any threat or molestation.

The shootings to the armless civilian by the Anambra security forces in Ekwurobia to IPOB members is a provocations. The Anambra public security relation officer's statements is senseless. Has there being any history of security breach of peace in any activities of IPOB since their campaign of NO ELECTION in any where if not those instigated by security forces but tightfully avoided by members of IPOBs. Why should there be such heavily presence of security in Ekwurobia when the need is not required? Police escort was reportedly leading Hausas & Fulani's protest in Abuja last week which is now trending in social media with free traffics opened for them & nobody's life threatened, why is all this wickedness against Ndigbo & when will it end? This oppressions must end.
