At the press event, Dangote showcased the first sample of petrol and promised Nigerians top-quality Premium Motor Spirit for their cars. He stated that this will ensure better petrol and longer-lasting engines.
Additionally, Dangote, from Kano State, thanked President Tinubu for allowing crude oil sales in Naira.
Dangote explained why the petrol from his refinery, called Premium Motor Spirit, looks clearer than the petrol available now.
During a broadcast at his refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, he highlighted that this clearer petrol is better for the environment and may help lower health issues caused by dirty petroleum products.
He mentioned that this new petrol would help prevent engine damage that often happens with lower-quality petrol found in stores. He was seen with his daughter, Fatimah Dangote, who is the vice-president of the refinery.
At the same time, the clear petrol from the Dangote Refinery has gotten mixed reactions online, with many people commenting that it resembles water or tequila, leading to doubts about its performance.

@djlegend__: why the pms Is pure like water. Petrol has different colors, When it’s Red that means Octane was added. When it’s slightly Green then Octane is slightly very much. When is Yellow it means it has no lead in it. That means it’s unleaded. But when it’s clear as water as seen in the video then you should know that ethanol was used . What ethanol does is that it improves engine efficiency and power. Because ethanol has a good amount of oxygen it lessens the amount of carbonation in engines there by reducing air pollution which comes as Carbon dioxide. So this is the best form of Petrol.
