Nollywood actress and producer Bimbo Ademoye has spoken out against the unauthorized use of her movie title and promotional materials by several YouTube channels.
Taking to her Instagram page, Bimbo voiced her frustration, revealing that some channels had used her movie’s title and poster without permission in what she described as content theft.
She made it clear that she won’t tolerate such violations and has already begun taking action. According to her, steps are being taken to report the infringing channels, and she plans to work with the relevant authorities to ensure they are shut down.
The actress emphasized the importance of protecting creative work and warned others against exploiting her intellectual property.
She wrote: “Enough is enough!!!. I hate that I have to do this, but my blood, sweat, tears , hard work, money, sleepless nights will not be enjoyed by someone else!. As it is now there are already 2 channels that have stolen my title and my poster for about 2-3 days now , they’re Nollynew series TV and Nolly specials. (Guys pls help me report their channels) . It is very unfair , that we’d work ,day and night and one evil demon would come and reap where they didn’t sow. This time I will not take it.
“I wanted to watch @biodunstephen film yesterday, I typed out the title and over 40 came out WITH HER THUMBNAIL. I’d do whatever it takes to bring you guys down , let the battle begin! AYODEJI FILMS, I AM COMING FOR YOU . Can’t remember the name of the TV station in Ghana (if you do pls indicate in the comments)But if I have to tag the office of @officialjdmahama to ensure this stops. I WILL.. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”.
