Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez has revealed that he battled depression whilst in the university because engineering was killing him as all he wanted to do was rap.
In a series of tweets, Blaqbonez disclosed that university made him feel like a failure because his mates were getting As and the future looked bright for them whilst he was posting freestyles hoping some influential persons will post it.
According to him, his serious friends in school are doing well in their respective fields and they all made choices and dedicated their lives to it and it is paying off.
He expressed gratitude for how far he has come because he does know who would have been taking care of his mother if music did not work for him.
“cant believe I was almost depressed at the university cause them engineering sh!t was killing me, and all I wanted to do was rap, really grateful for how far I have come don’t know who would have been taking care of my mom if this music stuff did not work.
When I see niggas reading overnight at law 201 hall, l’d be asking myself what am doing with my life like this? I can answer now I was laying the foundation.
University made me look like a failure niggas were getting A’s and dem futures looking bright and I was dropping mixtaps hoping tha NOTJUSTOK would post it.
