The Nigerian musician Daniel Benson, better known by his stage name BNXN, responded to CKay’s claim that he failed to hop a song with him because of rapper, Blaqbonez.
‘Gwagwalada’ crooner backed out of appearing on Chukwuka Ekweani aka Ckay’s most recent single, Hallelujah, he revealed on Thursday.
He disclosed that BNXN, Seyi Vibez, and Blaqbonez were all scheduled to contribute to the track in different ways, but that the first two were prevented from doing so for various personal reasons.
When he heard Blaqbonez’ verse, according to Ckay, BNXN withdrew, but Seyi’s team allegedly failed to provide him with a clear response.
The singer of “Love Nwantiti,” however, claimed that Hallelujah symbolizes his journey from a difficult upbringing to where he is now.
He wrote; “The bnxn version of HALLELUJAH may never come out. he asked to be ‘excused’ from the song when he heard blaqbonez’ verse and i simply granted his wish. seyi vibez version may also never come out because his team didn’t clear it. maybe the verse was too personal, maybe it was too deep…i fully respect it.
But at the end of the day, HALLELUJAH represents my journey from the trenches to where i am today. Blaqbonez is my bro for real and we share a lot more than a lot of you might think, but that’s a story for another day. I appreciate the love and support of the TRUE fans. i won’t be here without you.”
Taking to his Twitter account late Thursday night, BNXN who was angry about the claim shaded him with an insult in Yoruba.
He wrote; “Awon werey 😪”
