Davido, the popular Afrobeats artist, has strongly denied a recent report suggesting that he ended his long-term legal partnership with Bobo Ajudua because of an alleged misappropriation of $370,000.
The report, first released by blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus on Wednesday, claimed that Davido cut off connections with Bobo due to allegations of mishandling the funds and not distributing them as instructed.
She wrote:
“According to sources, I’m he fired the Lawyer in Dubai and told him to go his way..Out of the $400K with Mr Lawyer, he allegedly returned only $30K and alleged that he settled some bills and paid for tickets…Ticket? PLEASE! He has been making frantic calls to Chioma to beg for him but insiders allege he was one of those who did not want Chioma to marry Baba lbeji… Davido’s team are reportedly having a party, celebrating the sack of Mr Lawyer who is described as very proud and treated Davidos others friends badly.
“The team was advised by the almighty Chief Adeleke not to comment on the issue but Davido who feels used and betrayed has been posting cryptic messages on his Whatsapp status referring to the situation. Davido camp is presently in Osun celebrating the sack of Mr Lawyer who is allegedly reportedly making frantic calls to settle.”
Responding via an Instagram story on Wednesday, Davido urged the public to dismiss the narrative, emphasizing that he maintains a positive relationship with Bobo and that business dynamics naturally evolve over time.
He wrote: “This was not the case at all! We are still very good friends! In business, things evolve and change all the time! Please everyone disregard this narrative!”
