Nigerian social media star Idris Okunneye, known as Bobrisky, is facing accusations of renting U.S. dollars to show off online, just a day after moving abroad.

This controversial personality, who recently gained attention for trying to leave Nigeria during legal troubles, shared a photo on Instagram featuring piles of cash.

The post drew criticism from some fans, who suggested that Bobrisky was only pretending to have the money to impress them.

Meanwhile, Bobrisky recently clarified details about his recent trip abroad after two earlier failed attempts to leave Nigeria.

Reports indicated that he had been detained twice while attempting to leave the country amidst allegations related to a potential jail sentence.

However, Bobrisky announced on social media that he has successfully left Nigeria, emphasizing that the trip is a temporary one.

He further explained that his main reason for traveling was to focus on his mental health, which he feels has been strained lately, and to regain his sense of peace and stability.

Taking to social media once again, he assured his followers that his departure from Nigeria is not permanent.

The trip, he shared, is a personal retreat intended to help him clear his mind and restore his well-being.

Bobrisky expressed gratitude for his followers’ support, underscoring the importance of prioritizing mental health in times of personal crisis.

His words read …

“Yes I’m here to confirm I’m out of Nigeria temporarily… I need to attend to my sanity and my health. Few Nigeria security agencies try everything to frustrate me but naaa i gat God. Imagine !!! buying business class ticket 3 times. only 1 was successful. @kIm I hope you guys refund me the two i didn’t use. I know is not ur fault but it’s fine. Each business class cost me 9.800,000. I only successfully flew yesterday 3/11/2024. Before you come to my page to type nonsense check ur account balance if you can afford 3 business sit not to talk of buying it 3times. Well I’m not in Nigeria so ur comment mean nothing. Cheers”
