Body of Herbert Wigwe arrives his hometown, Ikwerre, Rivers State for burial (video)

The corpses of Access Bank’s late CEO, Herbert Wigwe, his wife, and son have arrived in Nigeria for burial.

The Wigwes’ remains arrived at Port Harcourt International Airport in Rivers State today, Friday, March 8, 2024, from the United States.

Wigwe, aged 57, died in a helicopter crash in the United States on February 9. His wife, Chizoba, and son, Chizi, were also killed in the disaster.

Mr. Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former President of the Nigeria Exchange Group, also died in the crash.

Since their deaths, accolades to Wigwe have continued to flow in as admirers recollect his actions while living.

The trio’s funeral will be conducted on Saturday at Isiokpo, his hometown in Rivers State’s Ikwerre Local Government Area.

Personalities have not ceased paying respect to the late Wigwe.
