Engr. Ibrahim Idris, the recently appointed Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement in Borno State, has passed away.
Unverified rumors said that Idris passed away while dozing off at his guest house in Maiduguri’s 777 Housing Estate.
The young commissioner, who also serves as Special Adviser on Projects Monitoring, is believed to have died from a heart-related illness, according to some sources; however, other sources claim he was poisoned.
The University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital received his remains.
