DSS Arrests Syndicates Hawking New Naira Notes

On Monday, members of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and agents of the Department of State Services (DSS) broke into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in Ondo State.

According to information obtained by Gistlover the security guards parked their cars outside the state opposition party’s secretariat.

Kennedy Peretei, a spokesperson for the Ondo PDP, confirmed the presence of security personnel and stated that their purpose was to thwart a planned nonviolent demonstration by the party’s youth.

Peretei stated that the protest was organized by the youths to demand the whereabouts of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who has not been seen in the State since April 2023. She also mentioned that staff members were not permitted entry into the secretariat.

Remember that on Sunday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) signaled concern over attempts to incite a crisis in the state by the PDP and certain APC leaders.

It announced that Governor Akeredolu would return to the State shortly.

Governor Akeredolu has been carrying out his official duties regardless of location, according to the Ondo APC.
