President Muhammadu Buhari, has carried out a major shake-up in the Military, which has seen several senior Officers getting new postings.
Major-General M. Mohammed, has now been appointed as the General Officer Commanding, 1 Division, Nigeria Army, Kaduna State.
Mohammed takes over from Major-General A. Oyebade, who has now been appointed as Commandant of the Nigeria Defence Academy, NDA.
The shake-up mostly affected several Brigadier Generals, and the development was made public via a posting signed by the Secretary of the Army.

The shake-up also affected other Officers, they include: Brig. Gen. K. N. Garba, Commander, 27 Task Force Brigade; Brig. Gen. U. S. Mohammed, Commander, Headquarters 3 Brigade; Brig. Gen. A. Bande, Commander, 6 Division Garrison; Brig. Gen. O. T. Akinjobi, Head, Operation Monitoring Team, Office of the Chief Of Army Staff.
Also, Brig. Gen. J. C. Egbudom, has been appointed Acting Commandant, Nigeria Army School of Mechanical Engineering, NASME.
However, Brig. Gen. B. E. Etuk, remains Chief of Staff to Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, Chief of Army Staff.
