There was nationwide confusion, on Tuesday, especially on the South-East, as a Federal High Court, in Abuja, discharged and acquitted former Senate Majority Leader, Ali Ndume, from allegations of links with the Boko Haram terrorist sect.
Justice Gabriel Kolawole, upheld the no case submission filed by Ndume, saying that there is nothing necessitating calling the defendant to enter his defence.
Recall, that during the days of former President, Goodluck Jonathan, Ndume was accused of sponsoring the Boko Haram insurgency, in the North-East.
Although, he has consistently denied the allegation.
