The President of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari will today Tuesday May 8th, be going on a four-day trip to the United Kingdom to see his doctor.
The senior special assistant on media and publicity to the President, Garba Shehu in a statement revealed that, in the course of the technical stop-over for aircraft maintenance in London on his way back from Washington last week, President Buhari had a meeting with his doctor and the doctor requested that he returned for a meeting which he agreed to do.
He also added that the President would be back in Nigeria on Saturday, May 12th.
Here is what he says:
“On his return, the President’s two-day State Visit to Jigawa, which was postponed because of the All Progressives Congress, APC’s Ward Congresses will now take place on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th May”.
This is not the first time the President will be leaving for London for a “medical meeting” with his doctor.
The president had been away for months last year for medical check-up and treatments in London.
People had raised all kinds of rumours during that episode.
