Breaking: Senate Confirms Yakubu as INEC Chairman.
Prof. Mahmood Yakubu has been just confirmed as the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a second term of five years.
Reports has it that the Senate confirmed Yakubu during plenary on Tuesday.
His confirmation is following the consideration of the report of the Senate Committee on INEC, led by Senator Kabiru Gaya (APC-Kano South) which submitted its report at plenary and recommended Yakubu for confirmation.
