The Federal Capital Territory’s Court of Appeal complex is under strict security as the appellate court prepares to rule on governorship appeals from the states of Kano and Bauchi.
Our correspondent noticed that members of the Nigeria Police Force had barricaded off several of the routes that led to the court.
Additionally, our correspondent saw a throng of fans attempting to enter the premises.
In an attempt to control the influx of supporters, police released tear gas canisters to scatter them.
Nonetheless, police officers are working feverishly to prevent a breakdown in law and order on the court grounds as of the time this report was filed.
The appeals’ rulings were scheduled for ten in the morning.
