Update from Adekunle, Yaba Lagos state has showed that men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) are shooting live rounds in the area.
Video evidence captured the officers perpetrate the crime.
In a shocking video sighted by Gistlover, police officers could be seen shooting live rounds at Adekunle, Yaba Lagos state.
Popular Nigeria Instagram comedian, Mr Macaroni also tweeted an ongoing shooting at Adekunle, Yaba in Lagos.
In the tweet, the twitter said the Nigeria Police are the ones shooting. He wrote;
“Policemen are shooting live rounds at Adekunle, YABA right now. On Herbert Macaulay. Please stay safe everyone!!”

The shooting led to the death of several people as many were also injured.
Security operatives had stormed the scene of the protest after the Lagos Government announced a 24-hour curfew and opened fire, with the intent to kill many people.
As many turned up to social media to share the live video clips of the tragic incident, many people could be seen with various degrees of injuries. The scale of the damage could not be ascertained.
