A lady has gained attention online with a video where she shows off her cooking skills at her mother-in-law’s request.
In Africa, it’s a common practice for mothers-in-law to assess the cooking talents of their son’s partner, and this video highlights that tradition.
The video that got a lot of attention on social media had the caption: “When your mother-in-law wants to see your cooking skills.”
Many women usually feel nervous about cooking, but this time was unique. The heat seemed less intimidating as the woman cooked Semovita with her mother-in-law.
During her trip to her mother-in-law’s house, the lady was seen preparing Semovita the old-fashioned way, with firewood and basic materials.
However, the part that surprised many was when she used her bare hands to mix the heavy Semovita, which was under intense heat and pressure. This led some to say that her bride price should be raised.
