Buhari leaves for medical check-up in London

  • President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to leave for London today, October 31, for a medical check-up.
    • His Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, announced this earlier today in a tweet on his verified personal handle.

    President Muhammadu Buhari will be leaving the country later today for London, United Kingdom for a routine medical check-up.

    His trip which was confirmed in a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, came after he presided over an emergency National Security Council meeting in the early hours of Monday.

    Buhari is expected back in the country in the second week of November. The statement read;

    “President Muhammadu Buhari leaves for London, United Kingdom, October 31, 2022, for routine medical check-up.

    “He returns to the country in the second week of November 2022.”

    This is President Muhammadu Buhari’s first medical checkup since March 2022 when he also travelled to the UK for the same purpose.
