Burna Boy breaks record for highest-grossing tour by African artiste

Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, has broken a new record for the highest-grossing tour by an African artist.

His ‘I Told Them’ tour made $15.5 million from 15 shows, with more concerts still to be counted.

Touring Data, an American company, shared this news on X. Burna Boy also set a record for the highest-grossing arena concert by an African artist in the US, making $1.725 million at Capital One Arena in Washington on March 7, 2024.

His concert at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood on March 12 had an average ticket price of $172.76, making it the most expensive concert by an African artist. His Canadian Tour earned $5.7 million from 6 shows, the highest for an African artist.
