Burna Boy, the Afrobeats master, has stirred a frenzy among his followers by handing over his cherished title “African Giant” to fellow singer Falz.
This surprise action follows Burna Boy’s recent social media diatribe, in which he distanced himself from the ongoing national demonstrations. The singer’s decision to distance himself from the demonstrations was motivated by an event that occurred on October 20th, 2020, during the EndSARS rally.
In response to one of Burna Boy’s postings, a social media user, @jr_barryy, chastised him for hiding behind his “African Giant” label and failing to uphold it through active advocacy.
