Nigerian comedian Alibaba praised Burna Boy for boosting Nigeria’s international reputation, stating that the singer has outperformed our official ambassadors.

During an interview on Channels Television, Alibaba expressed his dissatisfaction with the government’s neglect of the entertainment industry in economic planning.

He highlighted the exclusion of the creative sector in a forecast by the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, emphasizing its substantial impact on the country’s economy and cultural identity.

“Two years ago, the Nigerian Economic Summit Group looked into a forecast of the Nigerian economy in the next five years, and the entertainment and creative industry was not considered,” Alibaba said.

“A booklet of about 200 pages was done and the creative industry was not considered. The value of the creative industry in Nigeria is beyond the country.

Alibaba praised Burna Boy for his significant impact in promoting Nigeria globally, stating that the singer has surpassed the efforts of any official ambassador.

He also commended Nigerian artists for their important role in representing the country’s cultural identity on a global scale.

“Burna Boy has done a lot more for Nigerian national awareness than any ambassador that has been posted to America, the UK, or any other place. So Nigerian artistes are creating national awareness and making other countries know about us than any ambassador would have done,” he added.
