Eedris Abdulkareem, a Nigerian hip-hop icon, has spoken out about the music industry and his younger colleague Burna Boy.
A excerpt from an unpublished edition of the famous podcast The Honest Bunch showed the Jaga Jaga hitmaker addressing a common misperception among Grammy-winning singers.
In 2020, the Atlantic Records artist caused a stir on the internet when he claimed that none of his senior colleagues had prepared him for success.
According to Burna, no one in the Nigerian music business has ever done anything for him since musicians were too busy doing things for themselves or criticizing others’ achievement.
Eedris lashed out at his younger colleague in an upcoming podcast, which will be broadcast on Monday, February 19.
His words: “You hear someone like Burna Boy say no one helped him in Nigeria. That’s stupid talk.”
Some of the compiled takes below:
@Xandyy_Jay: “What Burna loves the most. Trending week again.”
@iampurney2: “Brymo no even do reach dis before he collect.”
@Bobbyblings: “This one has never liked burna sha so I don’t expect him to say anything good about him.”
@Lion_Heart_OT: “I agree with him. It’s so ungrateful of Burna Boy to say such when he actually was helped to become a star.”

@Masterjossy001: “Oya mention people wey help am and how they take help am”
