A devoted fan of Afrobeat singer Davido recently commended the musician for calling Grammy winner Burna Boy a “new cat.”

Davido recently said that Burna Boy, the self-proclaimed African Giant, was a “new cat” in the music industry.

Social media users are debating this comment. While some people took issue with his statement, others praised Davido for his assertion that Burna Boy is a relative newcomer to the music industry.

Davido’s 2012 hit song “Dami Duro” has been rediscovered by one of his fans. “Dami Duro” was one of the hit songs from the “Unavailable” hitmaker.

He claims that Burna Boy was only a video vixen to Davido when he first started out in the music industry.

He tweeted, “Davido is 100% Right that Burna is a new cat Even Kizz Daniel has more hit songs than Burna, if burna is not careful Rema might be the king. This is Burna boy in Davido’s Dami duro video as a vixen in 2012 and also in Cynthia Mogan, simatiniya video in 2017”.
