Bose Ogulu, the mother of Afrobeat star Burna Boy, has spoken up about how growing up with the great musician Fela Kuti inspired her career.
In a recent Famouz TV interview, Bose Ogulu revealed that despite spending only a short time growing up with Fela and his crew, she gained significant things about artist management.
She explained that she was old enough to comprehend that the management has more responsibilities than the artist, such as paying the band members and handling other tasks.
Her father, who was Fela’s manager at the time, controlled the crew because everyone sought him rather than Fela.
She emphasized the importance of competent management for artists, stating that this has greatly impact her current work as an artist manager.
