Businesswoman fumes as goods worth ₦2m go missing in transit to Warri

  • A Nigerian entrepreneur has voiced her anger after a delivery driver told her that goods worth ₦2 million, which she had cleared, fell off the bus on the way to Warri and could not be retrieved.
    • In the video, she shared her experience, expressing her frustration.

A Nigerian businesswoman has shared her disappointment after a delivery driver revealed that goods she had cleared for ₦2 million fell off the bus while heading to Warri and could not be found.

In a viral video, she detailed her experience of purchasing and clearing 20 cartons of goods in Lagos before hiring a delivery service to transport them to Warri. To her surprise, she received a call stating that only two cartons had arrived.

She refused to accept this partial delivery and insisted on receiving the remaining cartons. Eventually, she was told that six additional cartons were available, making a total of eight.

After some discussions, she agreed to pick them up, reassured that the remaining 12 cartons would arrive soon.

However, days later, she received a distressing call from the park manager in Lagos, who apologized and explained that the driver had not noticed the vehicle’s boot was open, leading to the loss of 12 cartons.

Unfortunately, these items could not be recovered. In her video, she recounted her frustrating ordeal.

“Two weeks ago, I cleared these goods for about ₦2 million. I paid in full for a driver to transport them from Lagos to Warri. The next day, I was told that only two of the 20 cartons had arrived. Later, they called to say eight were available, but I refused to accept them until I got my full order.”

“Eventually, they assured me that the remaining 12 cartons were on the way, so I collected the eight. But later, I got a call from the park manager in Lagos saying, ‘Madam, we are so sorry. The driver didn’t realize the boot was open, and 12 cartons fell off on the road. They can’t be recovered.”

The video sparked outrage online as many took to the comment section to express their thoughts on the situation.
