‘Calm Down’ By Rema Makes History as Most Played Song on US Radio

Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, has become the first African musician to have a number one song on the Billboard overall US Radio chart.

This week, the music star’s single ‘Calm Down,’ which included American sensation Selena Gomez, topped the charts.

To achieve the unprecedented feat, the hit track received 97.68 million listeners on American radio stations during the week in question.

‘Calm Down’ surpassed Miley Cyrus’ blockbuster hit song ‘Flowers’ to become the most played song on American radio stations.

The song is presently ranked third on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It is expected to dethrone ‘Flowers’ as the number two song next week.
