Cameroon May Likely Take Over Adamawa State, As APC Declares Atiku A Cameroonian Citizen Cameroon May Likely Take Over Adamawa State, As APC Declares Atiku A Cameroonian Citizen

Reno Omokri, the former Aide to ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan, has reacted to the claim by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, that the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, is not a Nigerian.

Recall, that the APC had filed a motion at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, in Abuja.

The APC, in the petition filed by its Lead Counsel, Lateef Fagbemi, faulted the candidacy of Atiku in the 2019 election, claiming that, Atiku is a Cameroonian and not a Nigerian citizen.

The APC, hence stated that the former Vice President’s petition against President Muhammadu Buhari, its own Candidate, should be dismissed for lacking in merit.

However, reacting, Omokri on his Twitter page, revealed that the APC’s claim is likely to cause Cameroon to approach the International Court, and lay claim of Adamawa State.

The former Presidential Spokesman wrote: “Since President Buhari and APC are claiming that Adamawa people are Cameroonians, I will not be surprised if Cameroon goes to the International Court again, to lay claim to Adamawa, just as they laid claim to Bakassi, and won before the ICJ, on October 10, 2002.”
