Popular American rapper Cardi B is being sued by two singers for allegedly violating their copyright.
She was sued on the grounds that she had used their song without permission in her song “Enough (Miami)”.
Recall that Cardi B’s release of “Enough (Miami)” in March resulted in top 10 hits.
Miguel Aguilar, also known as Kemika 1956, and Joshua Fraustro, also known as Sten Joddi, claimed that Cardi B and her producers plagiarized parts of their 2021 song “Greasy Frybread” in Cardi B’s song, according to lawsuit documents that TMZ was able to get.
The plaintiffs asserted that their song was additionally used as a promotional piece for the FX series “Reservation Dogs.”
The lawsuit also names Atlantic Records, Warner Music Group, and producers OG Parker and DJ SwanQo as co-defendants.
On March 15, 2024, “Enough (Miami)” was released, around three years after “Greasy Frybread.”
In related news, the well-known American rapper Cardi B has finally responded to her fellow musician Bia, who made fun of her during an emotional meltdown during an Instagram live stream.
Remember how Bia made fun of Cardi B on Dreezy’s “B*tch Duh” remix by claiming she couldn’t keep up with the beat?
She continued by criticizing Cardi B, who cried during an Instagram live session in December 2023 and called out her ex-husband Offset for being deceitfulfraudulent, saying she could never put her phone on to cry on livestream.
In response to the ‘Wanna Be’ remix featuring Glorilla and Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B expressed her desire that Bia would address her face in the diss track if they crossed paths.
“Guess I’m a teacher since you wanna sub me. She had no idea, thought she was on the shelf at IKEA. Hope she talks like that when I see her. B*tch please don’t nobody wanna be her [BIA],” she raps.
