Oderhohwo Joseph Efe popularly known as Carter Efe was born on the 29th of September, 1995. He is from Warri, Delta State, South Southern Nigeria; his hometown is Ughelli. The young man was born and raised in Delta State, Western Nigeria, and later moved to Lagos State.

Carter Efe received his elementary and senior schooling in Delta State. He reportedly went and completed his studies at Delta State University in Abraka. We now discuss his career as a singer and comedian.

Career In Entertainment

Initially, Carter Efe was a comedian who created skits to share on his Instagram account. He attracted a sizable following, and his notoriety grew.

In addition, Carter Efe worked and appeared alongside various comedians and skit creators, such as Sydney Talker, Nasty Blaq, and numerous others. But in 2022, Carter Efe released his breakthrough hit song, “Machala,” featuring Berri Tiga, and that was when he received his big break in the entertainment industry. “Machala” is another moniker for Wizkid, a popular Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, to whom the song was dedicated. The Machala Crooner reached new heights with the song Machala, which shot to the top of the charts right away.

Carter Efe and popular Afrobeat sensation Fireboy DML worked together to release the remix of his smash song Machala in 2023, and it didn’t let down either. Carter Efe has only put out a few tracks thus far, including Machala, Machala Remix, Ololade and Mi Carter.

In October, 2023, rumors sparked online of possible collaboration between Carter Efe and Zeh Nation Signee Young Duu.

Controversy between Portable Ex-Signee Young Duu and Carter Efe

Young Duu, A Nigerian up-and-coming singer has accused his colleague Carter Efe of trying to take advantage of him. Duu took to Instagram Live to voice his anger over Carter Efe performing their hit single “Oyinmo” at an event without taking him along.

According to an earlier source, Carter Efe was spotted at an event playing the new track released by both himself and Portable’s ex-signee, eliciting mixed emotions from showgoers and netizens.

Young Duu expressed frustration in response to the show performance, lamenting being picked out from the equation.

Speaking about how his former boss, Portable, abandoned him and kicked him out, \he accused Carter Efe of ripping him off and using his condition.
