Award-winning actor and producer Lateef Adedimeji shared insights about his choices with his wife, MoBimpe, who is also the executive producer of their film, ‘Lisabi.’

In a recent interview on ‘Nollywood on Radio,’ Adedimeji mentioned that selecting Adebowale Adebayo, known as Mr. Macaroni, for the role of Sokenu and Ibrahim Chatta for Olori Ilari was a deliberate decision.

He noted that from the beginning of the script’s development, he had envisioned Ibrahim Chatta for the part, as his research indicated that no one else could portray the character as well.

MoBimpe mentioned that she has always wanted to collaborate with Chatta, and her role in ‘Lisabi’ made that dream a reality.

Adedimeji shared that casting Mr. Macaroni as Sokenu, Lisabi’s best friend, was an obvious choice because they have great chemistry on screen.

He pointed out that since they met while filming ‘Ayinla,’ where they played close roles, they have become very close friends, which enhances the connection between their characters in the film.

Supporting her husband’s point, MoBimpe added that Mr. Macaroni is not just a co-actor but also a good friend of her husband, which was evident when he served as the best man at their wedding.
