Catholic priest has publicly apologized after a video appeared online showing him hitting an altar boy on the head during a wedding.
The incident caught attention on social media when the altar boy had trouble keeping the microphone steady while the priest led the ceremony.
In the video, the priest can be seen hitting the boy in frustration, leading to different opinions from viewers.
Some thought it was a lighthearted act, while others condemned the priest’s actions as unsuitable for such a holy event.
In response to the negative reactions, the priest, who has not revealed his identity, shared his reasoning, saying that… “I accidentally tapped him on the head. It wasn’t meant to cause harm or embarrass him. I was simply trying to get him to hold the microphone correctly.”
He expressed regret to the altar boy and his family, recognizing that his behavior was not right.
However, many have criticized him for the weak apology, arguing that he only did it because of the public outcry.
