Nigerian rapper and fashion entrepreneur Zlatan Ibile has criticized some of his peers for shaming people who wear fake designer items.

He believes it is unfair for fashion entrepreneurs to publicly ridicule those who choose fake products due to financial constraints.

Speaking in a viral video, Zlatan said, “People wey dey buy fake, make dem dey buy am until dey get money to buy original. Person wey wear fake today, go wear original tomorrow.”

Remember that fashion entrepreneur Rahman Jago recently criticized veteran singer Oritse Femi for wearing counterfeit high fashion items.

A few months back, Olayinka Ashogbon, the head of Ashluxe, also called out singer Lyta for sporting fake designs from his clothing brand.

He also shared an email from a relative of the deceased client, telling him about the tragedy and asking him to stop sending emails.

The email read:

“Jessica, I see your messages still popping up and looking for a response from Tim. I am sorry to inform you Tim is no longer with us. He was killed in an auto crash 3 months ago.”

“I have his phone and see you two had a relationship. I don’t know how close you two were, but no matter the relationship, he is not here. I am sorry to have had to inform you like this. I will be deleting all his content on his phone and giving the phone to my daughter.”

“Again, I’m sorry to have told you in this way but see you keep texting him. So, before I delete everything, I wanted to share this sad news.”

The news led to many reactions, as worried people filled the comment section with their thoughts and sympathies.
