Celine Dion, a famous Canadian singer, sang at the 2024 Olympic opening ceremony in Paris on Friday.
Celine’s first live performance in four years came after she battled stiff person syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological disorder.
To wrap up the ceremony at the Eiffel Tower, she performed Edith Piaf’s 1950 classic ‘Hymne à l’amour’.
According to Gistreel, the 56-year-old musician charged $2 million for her performance at the 2024 Olympics.
This was Dion’s second Olympic appearance, after performing ‘The Power of the Dream’ in Atlanta in 1996.
