Shallipopi, the singer, has urged his fellow musicians to set their prices based on their worth.

He made this comment while talking about the high charges by Nigerian artists.

In an interview with News Central TV, he pointed out that an artist’s value is tied to the success and popularity of their music.

Shallipopi argued against the idea that Nigerian artists have set their prices too high for the local market.

The singer pointed out that artists with streaming numbers similar to American artists should have similar fees.

“It depends on your music and where it has gotten, that is what your price is going to be.

“If your music has gotten the same stream as an American artiste, you should be charging the same way they charge but if is not up to that you cannot overcharge,” he stated.
