Reality TV personality Phyna, whose real name is Josephina Ijeoma Otabor, has publicly disparaged Davido for his altruistic deeds.
According to her, charity has turned into a “eye-service,” when an artist requests that people find a person who went viral for being in need, therefore discouraging others from providing assistance.
In the most recent episode of her podcast, “Spill With Phyna,” Grammy-nominated Afrobeats artist Seun Kuti joined Phyna for a conversation.
She claims that because OBO often expresses interest in aiding some people, other people typically back off from providing assistance.*
She said; “E just be like the way one particular artiste don use ‘help me find that boy, help me find that girl N2million’. So even if something happen now, nobody go fit enter am the way dem go take enter am again. The charity don turn eye service.”
The two became antagonistic when Phyna took offense at the derogatory remark that was made about her, which Davido found endearing.
A popular Twitter user with handle @47kasz had tweeted; “There some particular celebrities you’d Stan & I will profile, judge & conclude you are u$eless cos wydm you are stanning phyna????”
When she questioned the DMW boss about his seeming dislike of her, he responded that he didn’t know who she was and that his response was an honest error.
The reality personality congratulated the singer and his wife, Chef Chi, on the birth of their twins after tagging the singer’s handle.
She wrote; “Wetin I do @davido 😩Na wah oh, The hate is real….., Congratulations on your twins sha✌️”
This led to a serious debate and exchange between her fans and OBO’s fans on the social networking platforms.
In a Twitter post on Thursday, the BBNaija alum wrote; “I keep getting death threats oh. I’m not an artiste, make una nor kill me oh. Everybody na 001 for e lane oh. God nor be man.”
