In an Instagram post on Wednesday, she talked about how her parents put their lives on the line to protect them.
Chef T shared a tough experience. She and her siblings were doing their math homework with their dad when around 9 armed robbers entered and asked for money. When they realized her dad had no money, they started to beat him.
She revealed that the thieves took her mother and demanded her jewelry.
Her father, on the other hand, jumped out of the window and nearly injured his back while seeking help.
Chef T also mentioned that one of the robbers hit her mother on the head with a machete before they escaped.
While posting beautiful family pictures, she showed her gratitude to God for keeping them safe and for not letting the situation escalate.
She referred to her parents as the heroes in her and her siblings’ lives. Chef T revealed that the incident from 2003 has been a source of pain for her.
She is hopeful that sharing her experience will help her begin to heal.
She stated, “The year was 2003, these are our heroes. Dad jumped to distract them and save us, knowing they were not going to shoot.
“Mum locked the door in a pool of her own blood. Grateful that we are complete today. This traumatizing experience has never left me.
