Chidimma Adetshina, Nigeria’s beauty queen and second runner-up at Miss Universe 2024, has shared her emotional journey to the global stage, shedding light on the mental health challenges she faced along the way.

“I had already made peace with being in the top 30. That alone felt like a victory to me,” Chidimma confessed. Her humility and perseverance resonated with many, as she revealed the immense pressure and emotional toll the competition took on her.
The beauty queen also opened up about her ongoing mental health struggles, acknowledging that the intense experience left her emotionally drained. “Not many people understand what I went through,” she admitted, adding that she is exploring therapy to process the highs and lows of her journey.
