Nigerian singer Chike has donated ₦100,000 to a fan who spent six days pleading for help on Twitter.
On August 19, 2024, the fan, who had been tagging Chike for days, made another post in his typical manner.
He wrote, “Day 6 of asking my idolo for help @Officialchike. God bless ur beautiful voice, sir. A laptop is all I need, sir.”
The singer answered the fan by saying, “Send your bank account,” after which the fan wrote his account number.
After some time, Chike transferred the money, and the fan expressed thanks in another post with the transfer receipt attached.
He said, “Thank you very much, sir. This would go a long way for my project. Make God continue to bless you, sir.”
Chike’s offer comes after he faced criticism for giving money to a troll. The trouble began when the troll claimed his fame was due to the late singer Mohbad.
To shut down the hater, Chike asked for the troll’s account number and sent him ₦1 million, referring to him as “Hunger Boy.”

I will send you like 1M now, make hunger comot your eye make you see road but your account fit collapse. Let the good guy rest in peace.I know say na hunger. Hunger boy , Oya and eat,” Chike wrote.
