Chioma Adeleke Reportedly Sacks Manager Ubi Franklin

  • Chioma Adeleke, wife of Afrobeats superstar Davido, is under scrutiny for her professional relationship with her longtime manager, Ubi Franklin.
  • Ubi, a renowned talent manager, has a close relationship with Adelekes, particularly with Chioma, and has played a crucial role in her personal and professional growth.
  • Recent events have tarnished his reputation, causing intense scrutiny from fans and critics.

Chioma Adeleke, the wife of renowned Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, commonly referred to as Davido, has recently become the subject of widespread speculation regarding her professional association with her long-time manager, Ubi Franklin.

Ubi, a well-known talent manager, is recognized for his close relationship with the Adelekes, particularly his connection with Chioma. Throughout the years, he has been instrumental in managing and supporting her personal projects and emerging career.

However, recent developments have raised concerns about his reputation, leading to heightened scrutiny from both fans and critics.

Ubi Franklin has faced allegations from various public figures regarding questionable conduct, with accusations ranging from unpaid debts to unmet contractual commitments.

Among those making accusations is the vocal Nigerian activist, Verydarkman, who recently alleged that Ubi defrauded an individual of an astonishing 10 million naira. The situation escalated when popular artist Spyro disclosed in an interview that Ubi owed him $5,000, a claim that Ubi subsequently denied in a follow-up statement.

Further complicating matters, singer Joe-El also accused Ubi Franklin of breaching a financial agreement by withholding 10% of their earnings from a joint performance in Plateau State.

This ongoing controversy has not only damaged Ubi Franklin’s reputation but has also unsettled members of Davido’s fan community. Many devoted fans of the music star have voiced their concerns regarding Ubi’s close association with the Adeleke family, suggesting that his controversies could negatively impact their esteemed standing.

Tensions escalated when popular blogger Cutie Juls, known for her purported insider insights into Davido’s 30BG camp, claimed that Chioma had terminated her relationship with Ubi Franklin by dismissing him as her manager.

Cutie Juls wrote;

“From what I’m hearing, it seems Ubi Franklin has been officially laid off as Chioma Adeleke’s manager”

The report, despite lacking verification, has ignited a whirlwind of activity on social media, as fans and followers inundate comment sections with a variety of responses. For certain individuals, this news is seen as a positive turn of events, with numerous supporters commending Chioma for her decision to separate herself from Ubi.
