    • Both artists express a profound appreciation for the music and culture of the continent, according to him.
    • Davido revealed in an interview with Hot 107.9 FM that Brown and Minaj prefer to incorporate Afrobeats in their collaborations over Western styles.

Nigerian music artist Davido has disclosed that his American peers, Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj, hold a profound respect for Africa.

He emphasized that both musicians possess a significant appreciation for the continent’s music and cultural heritage.

In a recent interview with Hot 107.9 FM in Atlanta, Davido noted that both Brown and Minaj prefer to integrate Afrobeats into their collaborations with him, rather than adhering solely to Western musical styles.

“My recent collaboration with Nicki Minaj, ‘If It’s Okay,’ has a lot of Afrobeats influence because she wanted full African flavor on it. These days, foreign artists want to do our musical styles, so it is easier for me to work with them,” he said.

“When we were recording ‘Sensational’ with Chris Brown, I was trying to make it American, but he insisted I include Afrobeats. He asked me to sing in Pidgin. My dancers were the video vixens in ‘Sensational.’ They even went on tour with Chris Brown. Chris Brown loves African culture, and Nicki does too.”

Chris Brown has partnered with various African artists, including Davido, Wizkid, Rema, Fireboy, and Lojay, and has toured with Ayra Starr and South Africa’s Tyla.

Nicki Minaj has collaborated with Mr. Eazi, Davido, and Skales.

In other news, Nigerian singer Mayorkun’s father, Sunday Adewale, has started a new chapter in his life after parting ways with his mother, Yoruba actress Toyin Adewale.

He shared photos of his recent marriage on Wednesday, November 27.

The pictures revealed that the ceremony took place in a foreign court.

Sunday expressed his joy about the event with his fans on social media.

It’s unclear if other family members, including Mayorkun, attended the ceremony.
