Lagos State University has requested that fast-rising Nigerian music star, Bella Shmurda, returns to the institution and complete his education.
On January 25, Bella Shmurda took to Twitter to brag about abandoning his education to pursue his now booming music career.
“I now worth over half a billion streams (550 millions streams to be precise). I for still dey LASU dey wine and dine with carryovers and stranded with nothing in my pocket… forever glad I did my thing,” the musician tweeted.
The Lagos state-owned university responded to the artist, congratulating him for his exceptional growth in the music industry but urged him to return to school and earn his degree.
“Glad you have come this far pursuing your dream. Also glad @LASUOfficial played a part in your beautiful story because Univ.
Don’t make people rich, only incubate them to find and achieve purpose. BTW, please come back to class and earn your degree,” LASU tweeted.
