Comedian Baba De Baba Arrested For Cyberbullying May Edochie

Nollywood actress May Edochie is responding to Chidi Uzoma, known as Baba De Baba, due to some claims he made about her.

GistLover reported that Baba De Baba posted a video saying Edochie was trying to harm him and his family. He also accused her of kidnapping his son.

In a post, the actress’s lawyer confirmed that Baba De Baba was taken into custody for cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and additional criminal acts.

He added that the arrest happened after two weeks of police observation.

The lawyer explained how they tricked him into getting caught by the police. They pretended to have a deal for him and negotiated with him.

According to the attorney, Baba De Baba mentioned that he asked for N10,000,000 and a fee for each appearance, which they agreed to pay. He added that the comedian showed up to sign the contract and was arrested then.

In his post, the lawyer stated that they filed a criminal petition against the comedian last month.

He further explained that the case against Baba De Baba includes two separate civil summonses, one issued by the Lagos High Court and the other by the Abuja High Court.

The lawyer said they would share the messages exchanged with the comedian before he was arrested.

Recall, May Edochie had previously filed a defamation lawsuit against him.
