After spending over a week in the custody of the Nigerian Navy, a member of the team of popular skit maker Ahmed Gafar, known as Cute Abiola, has called for prayers for the comedian.
Earlier a statement by the Director of Information, Navy Headquarters, Cdre Suleman Dahun, disclosed Cute Abiola was taken into custody for violating and breaching Armed Forces of Nigeria social media policy.
The statement also disclosed that personnel are not allowed to post their pictures or those of their colleagues in military uniform or images containing military structures.
A week after the news made headlines on several media platforms, Cute Abiola is yet to regain his freedom and fans and friends have expressed concern over the issue.
In a post shared on Instagram, Nigerian artist Tolibian, believed to be a member of Cute Abiola‘s management, urged fans and followers of the comedian to put him in prayers.
The post reads: As you’re making your prayers Today, Kindly help me Put him in your prayers too. God bless you.

This comes after he won three awards at the 2021 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).
