With her sights set on the remarkable feat of 240 hours, the dedicated chef worked tirelessly and without mercy, and with the help of her devoted team, she completed her incredible undertaking 13 hours ahead of schedule.
In the final hour, she prepared a pot of jollof rice with the intention of serving it to the large crowd that had gathered at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale to express solidarity.
Malik Eric, her sous-chef, helped her with the 10-day project, which got underway at midnight on New Year’s Day.
As such, she cooked an amazing 195 meals.
Chef Faila not only wowed the audience with her culinary prowess but also demonstrated her charity by delivering hundreds of platters to the poor.
Compared to Irish chef Alan Fisher, who cooked for an incredible 119 hours and 57 minutes, her attempt is 108 hours longer.
With this amazing feat, Chef Faila has broken the record as the first Ghanaian chef to finish a record-breaking cooking marathon.
She also has a chance to set a new Guinness World Record by smashing the record for the most meals cooked and plates served.
When her attempt at cooking was met with applause and cheers, particularly from her beloved husband, Captain Reginald Agyei, she grew agitated.
