Manume Nicholas, a talented Nigerian from Rivers state, has successfully developed a cooker that runs on a combination of water and fuel, Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) fuel.
Nicholas shared the details of his groundbreaking invention with Legit.ng in an exclusive interview, emphasizing its efficiency and potential to alleviate the impact of soaring gas prices.
Nicholas, an Abia State Polytechnic alumnus with a background in architecture, revealed that he spent two months conducting extensive research on the technical aspects of the cooker.
The entire development process, from conception to the production of a single unit, cost N10,000.
He expressed his commitment to scaling up production for mass availability in the market.
The innovative cooker, showcased in a video provided to Legit.ng, demonstrated its functionality by being filled with a mixture of 80% water and 20% fuel.
Nicholas explained that this unique combination aims to address the escalating costs associated with conventional gas usage.
“It is my invention and it uses water and little fuel. That is 80% water and 20% fuel. It is intended to cushion the effect of the high cost of gas. I have been doing research on so many things, Nicholas said.
The video showcased the cooker burning with the same efficacy as a gas-powered stove.
“I didn’t study that in school. It is my talent, and I intend to produce it in mass before it hits the market,” he added.
When questioned about the safety of utilizing a cooker partially powered by PMS, Nicholas reassured the public that it is safe.
In his words;
“It is very safe. The water plays a major role in splitting the components.”
