Court Declares Naira Marley And Sam Larry Innocent Of Mohbad’s Death

Nigerian singer Naira Marley, whose real name is Abdulazeez Fashola, along with his friend Sam Larry, also known as Samson Balogun Eletu, has been released by the courts regarding the case of Mohbad’s death.

Several fingers pointed at his former label boss, Naira Marley, his friend, Sam Larry and Mohbad’s childhood friend, Owodunni Ibrahim aka Primeboy, among others.

Naira Marley, Sam Larry and Primeboy have now been freed by the court in the case of Mohbad’s death, Channels TV reported.

Don’t forget that the fast-growing musician, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also called Mohbad, died on September 12, 2023, at the young age of 27.

Following the legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje declared that Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Primeboy are not facing any charges.

Nevertheless, the court will pursue charges against Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the nurse who cared for Mohbad before he passed away, and Ayobami Sadiq, a friend of Mohbad, for acts of recklessness and negligence as stated in Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
