We made a report earlier today about the impending lawsuit against Governor Godwin Obaseki’s participation in the upcoming PDP primaries on Thursday.
The Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State rubbished this suit giving Obaseki the chance to contest in the primaries.
The suit was filed by one of the governorship aspirants of the PDP, Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, who had promised not to step down for Mr. Obaseki.
He prayed an injunction should be placed on the primaries, however, the presiding judge, E. A Obile did not grant that prayer.
He asked that the motion seeking to prevent Mr. Obaseki be served on the defendants including Mr. Obaseki via newspaper publication.
