His fans praised him for having backup plans in case Sevilla Football Club, where he plays in Spain, no longer needs him.
Kelechi was selected for the Super Eagles team for their African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Libya on Friday, October 11, 2024, and has joined his teammates at their camp in Uyo, Akwa Ibom.
