Cristiano Ronaldo will join Angelina Jolie in a TV series about Syrian refugees. The Real Madrid star will be one of a number of celebrities who make a cameo appearance in the show.
The series will focus on a Syrian family who flees the war-torn country.
“We will begin filming in the first week of April, the series is about the plight of a refugee family and what they go through,” director Eyup Dirlik, told Turkish media.
“There will be appearances from actors and actresses from all over the world including Cristiano Ronaldo, Angelina Jolie and Nancy Ajram,” he disclosed.
Ronaldo has spoken about the refugee crisis in the country before, telling children in Syria: “Don’t lose your hope.”
In a video message on Twitter last December, he said: ‘The world is with you. We care about you. I am with you.”
He also made a donation to Save the Children.
